Vein Contrast Enhancer
Being male, white, not all that overweight, and not a drug user, my veins are pretty good for blood draws. For many people, though, the color of their skin, the amount of subcutaneous fat, and a number of other factors can make it hard for health care providers to place a needle, because the veins aren't all that visible or palpable through the skin. Now Herbert Zeman has invented a product that uses LEDs to locate regions of high blood concentration and then superimpose a map of the veins over a given part of the body. Seems like a useful tool.

A good thing for me because it takes at least 2-3 tries to get a needle in for an IV.

interesting. I hope it works. It can be agonizing
to have someone miss. They then think that turning
the needle will help!!!!!!
