Communion Bread
Communion Bread from Madonna della Strada Chapel, Loyola University, Chicago
Sift together:
2 C whole wheat flour
1 C white flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
Combine:
1 C water + 1/4 C oil
2 T honey
1/4 C brown sugar
Knead wet and dry ingredients together to make a soft, slightly sticky dough.
Divide into 8 small balls, keeping covered until rolling them out.
Roll out each into a circle and score with a cross
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
