2 papers and a sermon
Halfway through the semester we have something called "reading week" which is a week-long break from classes. It's still considered part of the academic year, though; we still have reading to do and we're still expected at our Field Ed sites.
Reading week provides a good opportunity for professors to work through papers, since they don't have classes to prepare for. The result of this is that in my modern church history class I had two 7-10 page papers due by the start of reading week, as well as a sermon in my preaching class. One of the two papers was about Charles Gore, Lux Mundi, and the beginning of liberal Anglo-Catholic theology. The other paper was about the history of the relationship between Maori and Pakeha (i.e. European heritage) christians in New Zealand. And the sermon I'll probably post here soon.
So then I went up to Seattle to visit dad for a few days, and now I've got some work to do before classes start back up again. At the top of the list is my MA application, but I also need to work on a grant application from the Evangelical Education Society, since I'm now interested in following up the second of my modern church history papers by doing some study in New Zealand.
